I never really thought about it until now, but when I was younger I would make little bead bracelets and sell them in my mom's booth at festivals. Even though I stopped making jewelry for awhile I consider that my beginning.
I started Beatniq in early 2011, but really didn't spend much time on it until later that year. The name Beatniq came about when I searched synonyms for Bohemian and HIppie and Beatnik kept popping up. I wanted to be different so I changed the k to a q and voila!
I like to use mostly natural materials like semi-precious gemstones, feathers, and leather. My style and materials is slowly morphing into it's own, and I have to say that I really love where it's going.
I've also started doing photography, and will be offering prints as well as jewelry.
